Intro

Eric Gerst is an attorney and author.

In 2003, Attorney Eric D. Gerst was appointed to, and served on, Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell’s Insurance Transition Committee. Mr.Gerst has practiced law nationwide for more than 25 years, with a specialty in Insurance and Transportation. For many years, Mr. Gerst was senior partner in a law firm, with offices in Philadelphia, PA and Washington, D.C. As part of his law activities, he served as the outside general counsel to a national insurance brokerage company for almost 10 years. In that role, Mr. Gerst became familiar with all aspects of the insurance industry, including regulatory and licensing matters with the various state governments, and with the insurance laws of the states.

At various times during his practice, he has represented different sides of the insurance equation, consumers and insurance entities, He has handled complex litigation for plaintiffs and defendants, and has transactional experience in many facets of the insurance business.
